Brian Jull

Brian Jull was born and raised in the historic Naval centre of Greenwich, London, England
The sea and Admiralty have been a major influence on Brian's life and career. At 18, Jull left the family home and joined the merchant Navy. Having met and married his wife during this time, Brian decided that after three years of life on the sea, he would settle down and have a family. With no formal training, he decided to take up painting. He revisited the collections in the Maritime Museum in his hometown and became convinced that he wanted to paint.
As his confidence grew as a painter, Brian began to experiment with a more impressionistic style of painting. He travelled to Paris to study the 19th Century masters Monet, Seurat, and Renoir. He echoed these masters by painting scenes in situ. Through his admiration for Seurat, Jull's paintings have evolved to become interpretations of leisurely pursuits.
Nigel Hemming

Nigel Hemming is undoubtedly one of the country's most successful animal artists. Born in 1957 in Staffordshire, his career has been well documented with transition through the media of watercolour, acrylic, pastel, and finally oil. Although he initially saw himself as a wildlife artist - ornithological subjects holding a particular fascination for him - it is painting of dogs - particularly working dogs - with which his name has become associated.
The relationship between man and dog provides an endless source of inspiration for his work. Nigel's works have been published in limited edition form since the mid 1980's, enjoying increasing popularity with each new edition. He now has an ever increasing demand for his limited edition prints in North America as well as the UK. In 1996 Nigel received the Fine Art Trade Guild's Published Artist of the Year award.
